Success Off Early, Ideye Struggles As Struggling Malaga Lose Again
By Johnny Edward: Nigerian striker, Isaac Success, made his first start for Spanish LaLiga relegation candidates Malaga in Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to Sevilla at the Estadio La Rosaleda but he was taken off after only 34 minutes, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Joaquin Correa scored the only goal of the game for Sevilla in the 15th minute.
Success, making his second appearance for Malaga since he joined on a six-month loan deal from Watford, walked straight down the tunnel after he was replaced by Youssef En-Nesyri. The Nigerian apparently picked up a knock and had to be taken off.
Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye, making his fifth start for Malaga since joining in January, was paraded for 76 minutes in the defeat before he was replaced by Alberto Bueno.
Ideye has bagged one goal for Malaga since joining the club from Tianjin TEDA on loan.
Malaga remain bottom of the LaLiga table with 13 points from 26 games.
Malaga will face Leganes in their next game on Saturday.
