Naijaexclusive Artiste Focus: Harrysong (The Embodiment of Talent)

On this edition of Naijaexclusive Artiste Focus, we are flickering our radar to a 37 year old Pop artiste, Harrysong. The multiple award winning singer and songwriter dashed into limelight after his tribute to South African former President, Nelson Mandela emerged the most downloaded caller-tune at the 2013 Headies.

Harrysong, born Harrison Tare Okiki who has been active since 2008 got signed to Five Star Music Group in the year 2013. His reputation in the music scene skyrocketed after he dropped smashing tracks like “Raggae Blues” (featuring KceeOlamideOrezi and Iyanya), “Baba for the girls (featuring Kcee), Better Pikin and a lot more although he had been relevant before the release of these songs.

Terminating his contract with Five Star MusicHarrysong was involved in a very bitter war with Kcee as he reportedly said he wrote Kcee’s Limpopo. The ugly incident led to the creation of his own music group, Alterplate.

Harrysong has worked on two studio projects, his first studio album tagged “Testify” was released in 20012 under his first ever record imprint, Question Mark Entertainment while his second album tagged “Playmaker” was released in 2017. The Alterplate frontier has recorded a lot of hit singles that secured him a large fan audience in the nation and the continent.

The embodiment of talent bagged four awards of eight nominations, Harrysong have proved himself worthy of the attained height. The who just recently escaped depression has recorded a lot of songs that will shake the nation; he made this clear via his Instagram page.

One good reason Harrysong deserves some accolades is that despite being a dropout after the death of his mother, he never relented. He was able to gather success from every angle without any excuse or justification. He is definitely the true meaning of strong and an icon to the coming generation.
