Leicester Manager Puel: It’s Difficult To Replace Crucial Player Ndidi

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has admitted that Wilfred Ndidi will be difficult to replace when the Foxes take on Newcastle United next weekend, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Nigeria midfielder Ndidi was sent off for a second bookable offence in Leicester City’s 2-0 Premier League win over Brighton on Saturday.
It was the second time this season that the 21-year-old would be sent off this season and he will miss his side’s next game through suspension.
“Wilfred is a crucial player for us, so it’s difficult to accept this red card. We will have to find a good solution for the coming games without him,” Puel said during his post-match interview.
The Frenchman also admitted that Leicester City were fortunate to escape with all three points especially after goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel saved a late penalty from Glenn Murray.
“I don’t know if it’s a fair result, but it’s an important three points and we’ll take it. It was important we came back from the break with the right attitude and we showed that,” Puel added.

“The penalty save was a crucial moment and, in the minds of my players, it gave them the belief to go on and win the game. It was hard for Brighton to recover from that, but congratulations to my players for capitalising.

“We have had games this season where we didn’t get as much as we deserved, so we’ll take the result today. We have to continue to give everything and to play well from the start of every game.”

Nigerian international has made 31 appearances this season in the English Premier League and has made four assists.
