Dortmund Confirm Batshuayi Arrival On Loan From Chelsea

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan as temporary replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has left for Arsenal.

“The eight-time German champions Borussia Dortmund have borrowed Michy Batshuayi until the end of the season from Chelsea. The Belgian striker has been under contract with the London Premier League club since summer 2016. At BVB he gets the jersey number 44,” Dortmund announced on their official website on Wednesday.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc, a former top player, said of the 24-year-old: “Michy is a young, very interesting striker, who impresses with a high scoring rate and his extraordinary at both Chelsea and in Marseille, in the Belgian league and the national team. He has already proved his quality.”

Batshuayi is already integrating to life in Germany, with Dortmund posting his pictures in training with his new teammates.
